We had John Boch, President of Champaign County Illinois Rifle club- Guns Save Life and an extraordinary  NRA instructor/journalist  who has taught civilians, law enforcement, and military for many years to discuss gun safety, selection, ballistics,  training, home protection, storage, and mind set. He discussed different types of training courses and the historical course "Appleseed" that teaches American history and marksmanship.

GSL publishes a monthly newsletter devoted to weapons safety, use, legal aspects,  education/ training, and reports of various speakers who have talked about American history as related to our gun / firearms heritage at their monthly meeting.

On Memorial Day 2012 program, Warrior Connection, we remembered all and had a special guest representing Gold Star Fathers Bob Ochsner.   Those who wish to join- participate should go their web site www.goldstardads.org or call 847 244 8601. . Please remember those that have gone before us. Please be safe . Please remember what this weekend and tommorrow is really about. I will be remembering and thinking of so many. I encourage America, its citizens to find a way to reach out to the families that are missing their family members that left us all too soon, remember those that died on the battlefield, the POWs/MIAs, those that died after the battlefield from their injuries both visible and invisible. Remember their families and loved ones. Reach out to help them in any way small to large. WE WILL NEVER EVER FORGET, WE HONOR YOU BY REMEMBERING YOU AND ALL YOUR FAMILY MEMBERS. A special prayer to my fellow veterans who suffer from exposures ---We will find strength by continuing the best way we can and holding on to life. We honor the ones that have gone before us by doing this in a living tribute to them. Please be safe and remember the motorcyle riders that made the ride to the Wall will be returning home so we pray for their safety on the road home. Thank you to those that made that trip and those that found their ways to remember and honor those that have left us way too soon.

Our guest today on National Progressive Radio was Scott Stump Gulf War Veteran on the National Desert Storm Memorial - legislation hopefully will be announced on the floor of the House next week. Plus a call out for Desert Storm Veterans to participate in the National Parade on Monday in DC staging time is 1pm Eastern next Monday at Marker 81 - between 7th and 4th street in DC - so if you are going to DC or can get there Important do it! the parade starts at 2pm on Monday in DC that is one week from this week!
